  7. This  package contains the following files:

  12.      HOSTCALL.EXE - Program that initiates telephone calls...Part 1

  15. The  first  thing you should do with this package is to back it up. If you are
  16. using single-sided 8-sector diskettes then you must copy HOST-III and HOSTCALL
  17. onto  separate diskettes, because HOSTCALL needs adequate room on its diskette
  18. for its work files.

  20. The  following  DOS  commands  will  output  the  documentation  files to your
  21. printer:

  26. DESCRIPTION
  27.  
  28. HOST-III  and  HOSTCALL  are  programs  which  give your IBM-PC the ability to
  29. engage  in  unattended  telecommunications.  HOST-III  will answer an incoming
  30. telephone  call  and  exchange  files  based  on  the  commands of the calling
  31. computer.  The  calling  computer  may  or may not be an IBM-PC. HOSTCALL will
  32. initiate  a  telephone  call  to  a  host  computer (such as an IBM-PC running
  33. HOST-III) and exchange files based on the commands in what is called a COMMAND
  34. FILE.  The  host  computer  may  or  may not be an IBM-PC. The COMMAND FILE is
  35. created  by you, and contains the information that HOSTCALL needs, such as the
  36. time to call a host system, the telephone number and the names of the files to
  37. exchange.  A  single  COMMAND  FILE  can  sequentially access a number of host
  38. computers. Both programs support the XMODEM protocol of file transmission.

  53. This  HOST-III / HOSTCALL software package is being distributed under the USER
  54. SUPPORTED  concept.  That is you are granted permission to copy and share this
  55. program  as  long  as  no  price is charged for the software or documentation.
  56. Contributions,  although completely  voluntary, will compensate the Author for
  57. his  effort  and will ensure further development. Anyone may request a copy of
  58. this package by either
  59.     1. Sending the Author a blank formatted double-sided diskette (or 2 single
  60.        sided diskettes) along with a self-addressed postage-paid mailer
  61. or
  62.     2. Sending the Author $35 in which case the  diskette, mailer  and postage
  63.        will be supplied.
